On Saturday, March 10th 2018, Style Lush TV, in collaboration with Southtown The Arts District, hosted the first official celebration recognizing fashion in San Antonio as an art form. During this celebration, Southtown took to the stage to acknowledge the San Antonio fashion community as artists and formally inducted them into the San Antonio art community. It was there that FASHION IS ART™ was born. The event was such a success that it has now become the official celebration bridging Fashion & Art in San Antonio! FASHION IS ART™ strives to educate the community about the vast genres of fashion with both an art exhibit and fashion show experience so that they can be acknowledged, celebrated and enjoyed.

This year, the event begins with the opening reception of the second annual FASHION IS ART™ art exhibit at the Mexican Cultural Institute San Antonio at Hemisfair Park. The exhibit features beautiful works of art by the San Antonio fashion community in a traditional museum setting and is set to open with a performance art piece followed by cocktail hour and museum browsing. This will then be followed by our much-anticipated avant-garde fashion shows highlighting the beautifully strange and uniquely original, created by our fashion community and set in the beautiful garden walkways of Hemisfair Park.

Patrons are encouraged to discover talent, experience fashion in its purist artistic form, and purchase these one of a kind art pieces in support of the positive growth of the Texas fashion industry. Claim your VIP Art Patron Experience and reserve front row seats for the fashion shows, gain access to the VIP Lounge and score your official Fashion Week SATX fine art print by Analy Diego. Enjoy luxury drinks and fashionable tastes. Get in with the best photo ops and be within steps of all popups. Enjoy your fashion goodie bag and front of the line benefits, all in the name of supporting the positive growth of the local fashion industry.

Areas of fashion art showcased last year included: Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Sculpture, Fashion Painting, Cobblery, Millinery, Fashion Film, Jewelry Design, Avant Garde Accessory Design, Fashion Photography, Tailoring, Costume Design and more. This year, FASHION IS ART™  is primed and set to launch with even more momentum, creativity, and the wonderfully weird.

She began her career in Hollywood, California, where she worked for major record labels such as Virgin Records, Interscope Records, EMI Music and Capitol Records. Now, with over eight professional years in online fashion media and trend forecasting, she continues to pioneer, maneuver and develop her industry. She is currently the Senior Digital Fashion Editor, On Camera Fashion Personality and Senior Video Producer for Style Lush TV. She is also the President of the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative.
