Jive Refried (1999-2011) was a beloved, otherworldly vintage/music/art/fashion shop on South Alamo; “a labor of love that encompassed everything [Cuellar finds] beautiful: contemporary art, vintage clothes, DIY creations, jewelry, curios and home décor..”

Based in San Antonio,Texas. Cuellar has been transforming mid-century to contemporary garments and textiles into ready-to-wear fashions since 1999. Along with creating one of a kind originals by reclaiming and recycling fabrics, Cuellar is also a painter, D.J., writer, and performance artist. In 2018, Cuellar was awarded the inaugural San Antonio Fashion Cultural Pioneer Award by the San Antonio Fashion Awards, a platform that recognizes influential practices in the local fashion industry. Taylor’d For You, as seen on San Antonio Living, is a platform that celebrates local boutiques and designers while also empowering men and women of all ages to embrace style trends tailored to their body types. Last year the 2nd Annual Taylor’d for You fashion show was an unbelievable success, winning 2018’s Fashion Event of the Year at the San Antonio Fashion Awards. We were able to raise over $15,000 for Haven For Hope, have a completely sold out event with standing room only, and showcase 15 local boutiques. On Saturday, July 27th at 6:00 pm, we are expecting to further expand on last year’s success at San Fernando Hall, showcasing a combination of 10 local designers and boutiques with over 500 people in attendance benefitting San Antonio Threads.

San Antonio Threads is a 501© (3) non-profit organization that provides NEW clothing
and accessories for poverty-stricken teens in the San Antonio area.

The evening will begin with a memorable cocktail hour featuring a silent auction. Soon after this hour of food, drink, and networking, the fashion show will begin! Throughout the evening, guests will not only see a fashion show like no other, but they will leave with a greater understanding of San Antonio Threads and the necessary work they are doing for local youth.
