The 3rd Annual Taylor’d For You Fashion Show. Catch some highlights here.

The 3rd Annual Taylor’d For You Fashion Show hosted by Taylor Mobley and her team, happened this past weekend and as usual, the event filled the venue with excitement and warmth. The fashion show took place in beautiful San Fernando Hall and was filled with delicious food and drinks from Bohanan’s. Upon entering the event, guests were greeted with soothing jazz music from Roger Fisher & Bill Butler while patrons participated in silent auctions offering a variety of prizes. Guests also enjoyed tastings by Alamo Beer Company and mixed and mingled while anticipating the show. This year, the Taylor’d For You Fashion Show benefitted San Antonio Threads, a 501C (3) nonprofit organization that provides new clothing and accessories for poverty-stricken teens in the San Antonio area.

The Taylor’d For You Fashion Show was filled with local talent, designers and boutiques including, Couleur + Blindé, Eye Candy, Hemline, Fashionability, Leighton W. Couture, Limatus Bespoke, and Grayce Ln. A surprise 10th designer, her co -producer and friend, Humberto “Tito” Sandigo, took to the stage showcasing his very first line and demonstrating the extended family bond between the show and all who participated in it.

Anthony Ryan, Project Runway star and owner of Couleur + Blindé had this to say about Mobley and her team.

“Taylor Mobley has a lot of heart in everything that she does, I would help her in a heartbeat! She is one of the most vocal and forward public fashion advocates in San Antonio. Love her, Love what she does, love the entire team around her and love how they work together. They are team filled with passion and drive.”

Ryan, no rookie to working with Mobley, showcased his work for a second time at the Taylor’d For You Fashion Show. This time around, he strived to bring San Antonio fashion while staying true to himself, lending designs to an “easy” resort feel and layering pieces in different, unexpected ways.

By showcasing such a diverse group of designers and local boutiques, the show displayed a vibrancy that allowed the public to picture themselves in different styles. We saw a little bit of everything, from ready-to-wear to couture. Leighton W. Couture, for example, has been in San Antonio for about 7 years growing his brand. For this particular collection, he decided to pull from his first collection and showcased fun embellishments and on trend design details such as, sequence, sheer fabrics, edgy cutouts and pieces that you would be perfect for a hot night out on the town.

Even Elsa Fernandez, award winning entrepreneur and owner of Eye Candy boutique, also felt the love in the room that night. Known for specializing in plus sizes 12-22she wanted to bring something different to the show this year. Customers always come to her saying that they have too much black in their closet. Fernandez showcased  patterns, details, color, and most importantly fun on the runway, making sure to stay true to her mantra, “feel and look good no matter what your size”.

Always known for excitement, inclusion and positive fashion, the Taylor’d For You Fashion Show was a beautiful event produced with lots of heart. With this being their third year, they strived, as always, to make a fun experience for their audience. Team Taylor’d For You didn’t want to be another boring fashion show, and on that note, it was a true success. “We want to have fun, be colorful, and be PURO SAN ANTONIO.” they said.
