San Antonio Fashion Awards Nominations Go Live Monday!

Community Choice Nominations season launches Monday, July 1st and the excitement cannot be contained! The entire world is encouraged to go to SanAntonioFashionAwards.Com to select their favorite fashion community in 14 categories. The website this year is designed by Duable Brand Trust, a strong leader in brand building and digital marketing with elite clientele in the political arena, including presidential candidate, Julián Castro. Nominating is easy. Once you go to the website, just register your profile and nominate your favorites. Choose wisely. Each profile gets one chance to enter their choices.


Nominating and voting is as easy as lounging at home

This year, due to the fifth-year anniversary of the event and by popular request of the community over the years, a new category was added to the ballot. The world can now nominate (and later vote) for their favorite Jewelry or Accessories Designer/Brand. Nominations season lasts up until the end of July 21st, 11:59pm. “Accessories” include shoes, bags, purses, wallets, all leather goods, hats, hair accessories, and any other type of art or “wearable” that contributes to accenting personal style.

The San Antonio Fashion Awards, now in its fifth year, will happen Saturday, October 5th from 6pm-10pm as the grand finale event for the city’s official fashion week, Fashion Week SATX. SAFA aims to celebrate our entire fashion community with an emphasis on those whose excelled talents help propel our market into the next generation of excellence. Come ceremony night, the winners will be announced on stage at the premier red carpet event of the year and the winners will be awarded the Diamond Award of Excellence.

While nomination season officially launches July 1st, actual voting season is set to begin September 1st and is expected to once again, break numbers with global voters. As always, the San Antonio Fashion Awards has some special presentations and awards to be given that night, with details on these exciting experiences to be launched as the season progresses. 100% of the proceeds go to the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative 501C3, the states’ first and official non-profit dedicated to the positive growth of the Texas fashion industry, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.

Burgundy Woods has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music/Music Industries from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Design & Trend Forecasting degree from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. She began her career in Hollywood, California, where she worked for major record labels such as Virgin Records, Interscope Records, EMI Music and Capitol Records. Later after attaining her fashion degree, she was discovered by MySpace, Inc. and was immediately hired to be their Fashion Curator starring and producing her show THE B-SPOT Fashion & Trends on their Fashion & Shopping channel. During this time, online media was in its infancy. She and her colleagues contributed to the invention and molding of the online fashion media industry. Many of the stylized ideas and tools that were launched through these platforms are still used to this day as industry standards for online fashion media. Later, with her extensive experience in developing online fashion media, she continued the show independently and has successfully rebranded THE B-SPOT into Style Lush TV online fashion network. Now, with over eight professional years in online fashion media and trend forecasting, she continues to pioneer, maneuver and develop her industry. She is currently the Senior Digital Fashion Editor, On Camera Fashion Personality and Senior Video Producer for Style Lush TV. She is also the President of the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative.
