Booming with momentum, the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative 501C3 is headquartered in beautiful Downtown San Antonio, Texas and is currently stacking up members who are #TexasStrong and believe, We Have Arrived. Many like minded professionals are standing proud for the mission and aim to prove that Texas is a fashion industry destination. I personally would love to see the inferiority complexes that we may have had in the past – long gone and from the looks of our first two weeks of membership applications, so would many others.

“I don’t want to have to explain to the outside Fashion community why I choose to live in Texas, I want it to be obvious!” says Lisa Weller, Owner of Twirl Salon and award winning hair innovator.

“San Antonio has so many great people and an eclectic group of individuals that deserve state & national recognition!”Jules Aldaz, wardrobe stylist for KENS5 Great Day SA

As an extension of Style Lush TV’s advocacy over the past four years, TFII strives to bridge our Texas fashion communities, ignite innovation, and create opportunity. Over the past four years of working in this market, I have met many fashion professionals all over Texas. I have also seen many fashion professionals quit due to lack of resources, difficult business overseas or other costly obstacles. It has been quite apparent to me that Texas resources are abundant for our local entrepreneurs, the only problem is, they just don’t know each other exist.

Through TFII’s membership program, Professionals will be added to our Professionals Directory and gain access to one another. Some information included will be member’s profession and their available resources. It is TFII’s hope that this will not only grow our Texas fashion network but that it will also strengthen for our local fashion industry as a whole. Texans doing business with Texans. This will be huge for our market.

With San Antonio being the leading inspiration for this initiative, TFII serve this community and its positive growth. 100% of the funds TFII receives goes directly back to the local fashion community with FASHION WEEK SATX being the top priority for San Antonio in 2019. It is vital that San Antonio have a platform to showcase local talent. Planing is already underway and dates have been solidified for October 2nd-6th. By providing strong events like Fashion Week SATX to showcase local entrepreneurs & artists, outlets for exposure to continuously bring awareness to them globally, education for continued professional growth, and other strong advocacy programs, TFII will continue to help evolve our local fashion industry each year and bridge our Texas communities. Plans for continual Texas networking are already underway for 2020 as well. Through future endeavors we will set a pace for leadership and support for one another.
