Held at the Witte Museum on January 22, the Cowgirls Live Forever Scholarship Luncheon & Fashion Show is in its 14th year and is hosted by the Rodeo Association. The fashion show serves as the main entertainment for the afternoon luncheon and raises money for scholarships. To date, this event has raised 1.8 million for student scholarships and continues to serve as an advocate for agriculture and education for the youth of Texas.

This year’s theme for the fashion show was “What To Wear To Rodeo”. The fashion was provided by Julian Gold with glam squad, stylists and artists by RModels.

“We wanted to show different ways to make a statement at Rodeo, featuring classics, furs, formal and since Valentine’s Day falls during rodeo season, we threw in brilliant red statements and date night inspiration as well.” says Emily McMichaels, co-producer at RWorld Production.

With over 70 looks, this dynamic duo successfully inspired the season, leaving even the most non-western wear patrons inspired. “You know, I personally don’t own western wear, but there was a lot of things in this show that I loved. I may rethink Rodeo now. The fashion looks fun!” said one smiling patron.

The production itself was visually stunning. Complete with a full scale runway, and an animated three panel background, the models walked to fashion and rodeo themed video productions set to a mix of exciting rock-western and pop music.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo starts February 7th and runs through February 24th. For more information visit SARodeo.com.
