She’s calling the event,  Makeup and Mimosas- Women’s Empowerment Event.

We took some time out with Danielle so we could get to know her a bit better. Check out our Q&A and then, head on over to the episode above to watch a teaser of the game changing makeup tips you will learn at Makeup and Mimosas, June 30th!

SLTV: How long have you been a makeup artist?
DH: I’ve been in the beauty industry since I was a little girl. My mom was a hairdresser and I literally grew up in the salon. I guess I was born to be a makeup artist. Around my freshman year I got into full glam, like highlight, wing liner, lashes, the whole nine yards. At that time it was not as normal as it is now.

SLTV: Where did you attain your makeup education?
DH: I’m a self taught freelance makeup artist. I found my passion and consumed myself into learning all the newest looks and perfecting them. My makeup education is ongoing. I’m always learning new techniques.

SLTV: Have you worked with any high profile clientele yet?
DH: I haven’t yet but I have no doubts that I will one day.

SLTV: What are some of your favorite beauty tips that are timeless?
DH: 1) less is more 2) beauty is on the inside 3) wear your looks with confidence

SLTV: What do you like most about having a fashion business in San Antonio?
DH: I love how big yet small San Antonio is. I’ve learned, being in this industry in San Antonio, with the right attitude, and being nice to people, you can grow pretty quickly with all the connections you make.
