Continuing with a fashion house tradition, Dolce & Gabbana have a jet set itinerary packed with the hottest stops to show their Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria collections, bringing these collections to not only North America for the first time but also Mexico City.

Maya Henry, a local socialite, model, and actress was there to open the show and catch your eye in one blink while wearing a floral embroidered and jewel encrusted couture gown with a floral headpiece adorning her hair. The collection showed in the very sexy Museo Soumaya.

As reported by Vogue, prior to the show starting Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana spoke of the collection stating, “We take ingredients from Mexico and try to make them special in our way. Maybe it’s too obvious—mariachis and the Virgin—but for us, this is something we love. It’s spontaneous” and “We are guests here, and we are trying to show respect for the culture”. Models sashayed through the museums Sculpture Gallery to the mariachi sounds of Luis Miguel and the stunning show wrapped with a closing gown painted by Mexican Pop Artist Icon, Romero Britto.
