On October 26th, The Mays Family Center at the Witte Museum held the 11th Annual Eva’s Heroes Celebrity Casino Night. With a Fire & Ice theme, the venue lit up with fire dancers, models, silent auctions, and dancing all night in favor of raising money for a worthy cause. Live auctions for amazing trips to New York, an African Safari, dog training with Cesar Millan and a wine tasting with Eva & friends made for an exciting evening. While we sat in awe of the incredible prizes, we also very touched by the experiences shared by the Heroes themselves.

Eva Longoria Bastón cofounded Eva’s Heroes, a San Antonio nonprofit that benefits children with intellectual special needs, inspired by her sister, Lisa, who is her number 1 hero.

It was a night of glitz & glam, with a celebrity Red Carpet, a L’Oreal Paris touchup station with hair & makeup artists, art pieces by Giovanna Diz Zurita and so many options to participate in silent auctions. They were able to raise over $460,000 to continue their work in San Antonio with special needs children and ensure they lead productive, enriched lives as members of society.
