We are baaaack with Fashion Round Up! (Queue applause!) This is THE show were we get to talk about our favorite looks on the Red Carpet in major Hollywood events, award shows and premiers. We’ll also be covering Red Carpet events, Galas, and of course, award shows here in San Antonio and surrounding areas; so be on the lookout for our crew because YOU might just be SPOTTED and featured on our Best Dressed list!

Now, on to the topic of today’s episode! I was able to catch the nail biting end of the Miss Universe Pageant and I was blown away with the 3 finalists’ looks. They all looked stunning in gold, so make sure to watch the video above to find out who I was rooting for! The main show I was glued to was the 2017 Screen Actor’s Guild Award. It was the 2nd Award show of the season, following the Golden Globe Awards, which I barely caught since I had just gotten off a plane from my vacation in Puerto Rico.

House of Hybrid 2

Let’s talk about the evening’s trends!

1. Stripes

Stripes took over the SAG Awards Red Carpet in a surprising turn and they came in all forms. We’re loving this trend and it’s definitely here to stay throughout Spring 2017.

2. Sheer

Now this is sheer done right. We’re taking a page out of Taraji P. Henson’s book with this stunning Reem Acra gown with a high neckline and embroidered detail. There is a subtle striped effect to the skirt, but the winner here is that sheer top. So sexy!

3. Pants

I’ve been loving Evan Rachel Wood’s Red Carpet statement with the gorgeous pantsuits! She rocked it at the Golden Globes and did it again for the SAG Awards in this blue velvet Altuzarra cropped pant suit. Her slicked back hair with a bold lip keep her look strong yet feminine. It’s more than just a fashion statement, the star of “Westworld” stated in an interview at the Golden Globes with E! News, “I wanted to make sure that young girls and women knew that [dresses] aren’t a requirement, and that you don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to,” and we love her for that. Way to break the mold!
