Last night, Aguillon Por Rey Feo hosted their Catwalk, Comida, Cocktails and Confetti Fashion Show. The event featured Fiesta Flavors led by Southtown favorite, Chef Johnny Hernandez and some of the hottest up and coming Fiesta fashions featuring former Texan, Cesar Galindo and local fashion entities, Adrienne Younger, Dos Carolinas, Nativa, Image Avenue Clothiers and Michael Quintanilla.
Culinary talent secured by Chef Johnny included, Chef Jeff Balfour from Southerleigh, Chef Pieter Sypesteyn from Cookhouse, Bakery Lorraine, and Jason Dady Catering among others. Paramour and Still Golden shook up fashionable cocktails as patrons were encouraged to contribute towards the cause, raising $250,000 for the Rey Feo Scholarship Fund.
The incredibly experienced production team, Ricardo Gutierrez and Emily McMichael lead the fashion show. An exciting and professionally lit runway set the tone for many fashion forward ideas when it comes to elevating what it means to dress for Fiesta. Upscale embroidery, tiers of ruffles, sparkle and over the top embellishment stirred up feelings of excitement. Energy on the runway was whimsical and carefree. Other times it was edgy and full of attitude. Overall, this was a triumph that had patrons cheering and applauding all the stunningly styled looks.
