Dana and the crew apologized for their absence and announced that something major was in the works, asking us to hold tight. Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Dana Cortez, with her Executive producer and husband, DJ Automatic and comedian, Anthony A., has been syndicated between Albuquerque, NM and San Antonio, TX with Univision for 10 years and has just announced the launch of their new venture with ABC Radio to go NATIONAL!

The stylish media mogul, who served as MC at our 2nd Annual Look Local Night, has been breaking barriers since becoming one of the first lead female hosts of a morning show, The Dana Cortez Show. The 5 hour show continues to make history by featuring an ensemble cast led by one of radio’s first Latinas to host a nationally syndicated show. “It sends a very powerful message and I’m excited to help pave the way.  Today’s audience expects authenticity, there are no secrets between us and nothing is off limits. Every morning is brimming with culture and content.”, stated Dana in an interview with All Access Media Group.

Well, the wait is over and they are set to be on air, nationwide, on August 20th, but the radio station has yet to be announced. We’re so proud that they will continue to be headquartered in San Antonio. This just shows that this City on Rise continues to raise incredible talents that not only put us on the map, but break the glass ceiling at the National level!
