SA Monthly Magazine’s Creative Editor, and professional photographer, Waldinei Lafaiete, has set out to teach some of his best techniques this Summer. If you have ever wondered if it is possible to take high-quality photos on your iPhone or mobile device, Wally (as his industry friends call him) says ‘yes’! He will be sharing his industry techniques at his IPhotography Workshop August 25th and will reveal why he believes technique is more important than using a pricey camera.
Attendees will learn simple rules for creating compelling compositions within a frame, how to control the level of lightness or darkness in a photo, and more. With a mixture of lecture and hands-on photography the workshop aims to provide attendees with the basic techniques to photograph people as a fashion photographer.
As the Lead Photographer of SA Monthly, Wally has photographed fashion shows, models, socialites, influencers, artists and TV personalities. His images have graced ten covers of this local magazine and his work has also been seen in international periodicals. Wally loves traveling and he has captured people and landscapes in more than 30 countries through his lens.
This workshop’s idea was sparked by his most recent trip to France where he captured stunning images with his iPhone and posted them on his Facebook page: www.facebook.com/waldinei
What attendees will learn in this workshop:
- Why technique is more important than equipment
- How to photograph landscapes and create stunning imagery
- How to photograph people and make them look like fashion models
- How to use social media to get additional exposure
The workshop will be held on August 25th 9am-12. Breakfast is included in the $25 registration fee. Visit our Style Lush Fashion Events Calendar HERE to reserve your spot and stay tuned for even more fashionable news.
