Southerleigh is excited to announce updates to both its Pearl and Brooks locations. Coming in Spring 2018, Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery at Pearl will be adding an outdoor walk-up oyster bar overlooking Pearl Park. Additionally, Southerleigh Brewing Co. at Brooks, opening in the Fall of 2018, has released exciting menu updates.
Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery at Pearl will begin construction of its outdoor oyster bar this month, in February, and is expected to open in Spring 2018. The inviting walk-up bar will feature eight Southerleigh beers on tap, plus serve four to five varieties of fresh oysters, as well as freshly selected shrimp, crab, clams, and caviar. The bar will overlook Pearl Park, and guests can expect great music and activations from the park to enjoy throughout the year. The architect firm for the project is Clayton & Little, who also designed Southerleigh’s Pearl location.
“We are humbled by the continued success and growth of our brand and cannot thank our customers enough,” said Jeff Balfour, Chef and Owner of Southerleigh. “The oyster bar at Pearl will be a great addition to improve our outdoor space, and we are excited to showcase new menu items at Brooks we haven’t featured before at our current location. We want to make the Southerleigh experience unique to each location.”
Southerleigh Brewing Co. at Brooks will be featuring a casual family-style menu, specializing in pressure fried Southern fried chicken and oysters. Pressure frying is a method that cooks the food more quickly, but leaves the meat hot and tender.
The Brooks location menu will also include an extensive oyster bar, as well as fresh, local, and seasonal dishes representing southern and Texas flavors. The feel of the space and menu will be reminiscent to some of the great chicken and oyster houses.
