Vintage glamour and retro charm are the perfect way to describe one of San Antonio’s newest and cutest little vintage shops. Hello Tallulah owner, Kristina Uriegas-Reyes, relocated to San Antonio after living in New York City and working as a blogger, a writer for Bust Magazine, and a plus size model for Gwynnie Bee. Having been opened for 2 months now, it’s clear, with an eye for true vintage fashion and a love for color, pleats, and sparkle, this little treasure of a shop is hands down retro magic!

Hello Tallulah is named after a sweet Dachshund mix who reminds her owner to advocate for not only rescue dogs, but senior rescue dogs as well. Inspired by fashion from the late 50’s/early 60’s, french new wave fashion, and musicals from the 60’s (such as Bye, Bye Birdie) Hello Tallulah strives to bring a range styles and sizes. The shop’s mission is to create a positive environment in which women can feel comfortable trying on clothes and experience happiness through self expression. Hello Tallulah carries a wide range of women’s clothing, self-made jewelry, unique hats and a small section for men and children too. Specializing in women’s dresses, it was difficult to pick my favorite to photograph. They all have such a beautiful presence, ranging from the “look at me” statement garments and their exquisite beading, to the subtle feminine styles and their gorgeous hues; violet, rose, arcadia green, the options were endless.

A treasure I gravitated towards immediately came with a highly publicized story attached to it. Pictured below, a Versace mini skirt. My inner mod and love for siren-styles was awakened, especially when I learned the skirt was a Gianni original that had been purchased shortly after the designer’s death. Heads up ladies, it’s affordable too!
