BANNER PATV 2016

Wednesday evening, San Antonio’s most distinguished fashion organization, FGI San Antonio, held its annual Spring Trends Fashion Show at the Mariposa Cafe in Neiman Marcus. Here are the Top 10 Trends of the evening.

10. Fully Loaded

Once again, the fashion world is doing what we at Style Lush TV call “The Ultimate Mix & Mix”.  The more contrasting, the better. Select carefully curated separates that somehow compliment each other and leave the “matchy mentality” in your past.

9. The Gucci Sneaker

Typically we’d generalize the trend but Gucci… you’ve hit it out of the ball park yet again. From the tiger design to the studded embellished sparkle shoe, the Gucci sneaker collection deserves a slew of heart eyes emojis.

…and just another sneak peek of our favorite Gucci style worn by our friend Majo, Fashion Editor of Prime Panama. I am just crazy about the mix of punk spikes at the heel and oversized pearls on the sides. Perfection.

8. The Bomber Still Stands Strong

Don’t hang those bomber jackets up just yet! From raglan sleeves to all over sequins, bombers are still a go to this coming season.

7. Stripes

As seen on the our show Fashion Round Up, Stripes are everywhere! From casual separates to red carpet jumpsuits, throw all preconceived notions about stripes out of the window and have fun with them this Spring/Summer!

6. Statement Metallic Sunglasses

We’ve seen metallic lenses for some seasons now, but this coming spring, they seem to be taking a “Statement Making” turn to include the frames as well. Think oversized, think metallic lucite and anything that will turn heads.

5. Statement Earrings are baaack!

Anything dangly. Anything drapey. Anything colorful! This one is an easy trend to have fun with!

4. Neutrals

From Monochromatic white, to a mix of beige tones and even the reprise of olive, pairing neutrals is going to be a great go to this coming season.

3. Ruffles

Go for multi-layers or maybe that one big statement, ruffles are seen all over the runway!

2. Flirty Shoes

From thin ankle straps to heart appliqués, heels are incredibly flirty this coming season!

and 1. Embellished bags

We are crazy for the strong embellishment on bags this season. Who doesn’t love an accessory that can stand on its own?
