Oscars Red Carpet 2016: And the Award goes to…

This past Sunday’s Oscars were all the buzz on all Social Media fronts! From Leo’s big win (FINALLY!), to Lady Gaga’s powerful performance, the 88th Annual Academy Awards were nothing short of spectacular! The Style Lush TV team got together to round up our favorite Red Carpet looks. Check out our favorites here!

Best Dressed Women

Erica Lynne

Erica chose all white looks. Lady Gaga stunned in a Brandon Maxwell curtain skirt jumpsuit. While she’s mostly know for her outlandish style, she’s having a major moment in her new glammed up look and we here at SLTV studios are loving everything about it! She also chose Priyanka Chopra in an embellished Zuhair Murad gown.

Stenny

Stenny was all about the shimmery looks. Naomi Watts dazzled in a Calvin Klein Collection gown and British costume designer, Sandy Powell pushed the envelope in a shimmery diamond patterned palazzo pant suit. Many stated that she resembled David Bowie with her hairstyle. The look may have very well been a tribute to the late great Starman himself. Regardless, the look got rave reviews from our very own Disco Ball lover, Stenny!

Burg

Burg selected intricate embellishment. Cate Blanchett wore a gorgeous Armani Privé gown adorned with feather flowers in Pantone Color of the Year, Serenity. Dorith Mous was out of this world stunning in Dennis Diem! The mesh and lace high neck, long sleeved top with a full skirt was absolutely amazing. The edgy side swept hairstyle kinda reminds me of Burg, herself. Don’t ya think?! Fabulous!

Jeanelly

My picks of the evening were glitzy glam! The beautiful Margot Robbie looks like she was dressed by Oscar herself! Wearing a Tom Ford gold, snakeskin long sleeved gown with a plunging neckline, she brought an element of 70’s Glam. Bringing it to this era with loose, wavy hair. Oh, and her clutch was everything! Saoirse Ronan was looking very sexy in a sparkling emerald green Calvin Klein dress. Also, dawning loose waves; she had the perfect balance of sex appeal and sophistication.

Best Dressed Men

The men looked pretty darn amazing last night! From Classic tux, to glitzy, to Avant-Garde, these men brought the Oscars Red Carpet to great heights with these dapper looks. Our tops picks were…

Jared Leto was edgy in Gucci, while Michael Strahan looked dapper in a suit from his own line, Collection by Michael Strahan. Leo DiCaprio was a winner in Armani, and Kevin Hart shined in Dolce & Gabbana.

We love the glitz, we love the glamour and we love a good Red Carpet! Inspiration for the next San Antonio Fashion Awards perhaps? I think so!
